I hope he doesn’t mind my reblog.
Missy Higgins - Don’t ever (live @ Darling Harbour)
The first time I heard the song—I really tried to listen to the lyrics, it was almost like a gentle caress across my check. Almost bittersweet.

I tended to always find myself in sort of a slump on Mondays. I thought it was because of switching my sleep schedule from being a graveyard worker to a “daywalker” and back again. I’m sure it is partly because of that.
But, I think it’s so hard on Mondays for me to want to do much of anything because my heart is still recovering from “losing” you until next time.

A minute in, I was already depressed.
Via Arni
So I signed up for this, by request of Arni, and even though it’s only been like a day of playing, I like it!
But, I already know that this is not going to be good for me.
Not that I expect to be “good” at it, but I’m pretty competitive sometimes and this is going to be a “distraction” from other things I should be doing. Like studying. Or something responsible.
I’m sort of dabbling in the German language so I can attempt to follow along, or at least, figure out what’s going on in a conversation.
Last night, I finally got around to asking Joe, my co-worker and German-phile, about word order in a sentence. He explained it to me and now things are sort of making more sense.
Verbs at the end of a sentence?!
Anyway, he told me to read and look up Mark Twain’s “The Awful German Language” essay—a playful/satirical look at the language, and I can’t help but feel relieved that someone out there can empathize with my confusion.
The essay, however, I also found very educational!
