I’ve been listening to a lot of folksy/female vocals lately.  But after perusing through a co-worker’s playlist, I came across this song.  The familiarity of “alternative” music came back to me:  the repetitive bass line, simple guitar and off-beat drums in the verse that lead to a build up in the pre-chorus and then the “heavy” sounds of guitar chords come in with the chorus, and then the chorus repeats but feels like it speeds up with the drum beats, and then it drops and starts all over again….
