Title: No Place Feels Like Home
Artist: Midtown
Album: Save the World, Lose the Girl
Pre-ipod and even pre-mp3 player, for over two years of my life, I had a mix cd with this song along with about six or seven others in my cd player, and that’s all I’d ever listen to. If I felt like listening to something “new” I’d create a new “mix cd” with those same songs plus the new ones I wanted to listen to. Needless to say, it was one of my favorite songs.
I must’ve listened to this song over a thousand times, but I still don’t have all the lyrics known/memorized. (I just recently looked them up (again) on songmeanings.net, one of my favorite lyric look up sites, and I never really thought of it as a “long distance relationship” song. Always figured it was about a guy who broke up with a girl who moved away and wants her back. It’s always interesting to me how people interpret songs and make them their own.)
