After having visited 11 different countries this year, just coming back a week ago from traveling through Asia, and for the most part, having used some form of public transportation in 9 of them to get around, I have to say that it was a little sad for me to come back to the US, as much as I appreciate living here, because I had seen so many of its flaws; one of them being public transportation—the lack of it, lack of reliability and the negative stigma it has which only perpetuates the inconveniences, lack of use, and lack of infrastructure. I thought that even San Francisco wouldn’t be as bad as I thought it would, but it still pales in comparison to the transit systems in other countries.
